The principal programmes currently promoted are at MQF/EQF Levels 4, 5 and 7. Avanza’s current course list does not show a standalone Bachelor’s degree. The HND programmes are Level 5 qualifications and may provide progression opportunities, but they should not be advertised as Bachelor’s degrees.
Some postgraduate qualifications involve external awarding institutions. The Level 7 Diploma in Business Management is offered through NCC Education, while the MBA Top-Up pathway leads to an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, subject to admission conditions. Entry Requirements:
Entry requirements depend on the selected programme and qualification level.
Diploma and HND applicants generally need an appropriate secondary-school, matriculation, MQF Level 4 or equivalent qualification. Applicants may also be assessed through Avanza’s interview board.
For example, the HND in Hospitality Management currently requires applicants to:
• Be at least 18 years old
• Hold a recognised matriculation or equivalent qualification, an appropriate MQF Level 4 qualification, or meet the stated mature-entry conditions
• Demonstrate English proficiency
• Provide IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
Level 7 Diploma applicants generally require a relevant Bachelor’s degree, MQF/EQF Level 6 qualification or another accepted equivalent qualification.
MBA Top-Up applicants normally need to have completed the relevant Level 7 Diploma or another qualification accepted by the awarding university.
Bangladeshi HSC qualifications must be assessed for comparability. HSC completion alone does not automatically guarantee admission to every Level 5 programme.
